All children and adolescents should have the means and the opportunity to develop to their full potential Life, survival, maximum development, access to health and access to health services are not just basic needs of children and adolescents, but fundamental human rights.

The primary instrument for protecting and fulfilling these rights is the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC). The CRC reflects the international consensus on standards for ensuring the overall well-being of all children and young people up to the age of 18 years. In addition to presenting a channel for advocacy and practical support for child and adolescent health, the CRC is the normative and legal framework for WHO’s work across the broad spectrum of child and adolescent health and development.

DCI Zimbabwe has put in place an e-resource center to support all practioners with all required information on child rights to use in their work and during trainings.
