INFORMATION COMMUNICATION AND PUBLICITY UNIT :
The information, communication and publicity unit (ICPU) is a unit that supports DCI Zimbabwe in achieving its mission . Through this Unit it designs and publishes coloring books to use as advocacy tools on promoting people's knowledge on the constitution of Zimbabwe,child rights conventions,human rights conventions,other local,regional and international instruments used to safe guard peoples' rights as drivers to achieving full implimentation of children and women's human rights actions .
This Unit produces child friendly materials in form of colouring books with massages, the first books contains:

The constitution of Zimbabwe and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) for ages 5 to 8 years,

The second one is for children aged 9 to 12 years , this one contains constitutional materials extracts as well.
These are child friendly materials, that enables any child, to read and colour while getting knowledge on the constitution in an un-intimidating, test-taking format in their homes and community constitutional clubs.
The idea is to teach, learn as you play.

ABC Child Rights Coloring book Ages 5 to 9 years
CHILDREN AT RISK UNIT :
According to a 2010 UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) report, 13 percent of Zimbabwean children are engaged in child labour which the International Labour Organization (ILO) defines as work that is mentally, physically, socially or morally harmful to children and that interferes with their schooling.
Zimbabwe’s Labour Act prohibits employers from hiring a person under 18 to perform hazardous work and the Children’s Act makes it an offence to exploit children through employment.
"To date, there has been no investigations or arrests in Zimbabwe for violations related to child labour.

As New Hope Foundation Zimbabwe back in 2007 , DCI has been conducting Anti Child Labour awareness campaigns in Zimbabwe when it planned and conducted a Global March Against Child Labour in December 2007, this was a 541kms physical march which covered 5 Cities and 2 towns all in 6 Provinces in 31 days.Harare to Plumtree border post.

JUSTICE FOR CHILDREN UNIT :
The (JSCU) is the DCI Zimbabwe legal department. The organisation's approach to justice for children is driven by international declarations on the safety of children, this enables it to prioritises Justice for children in all its actions , paying particular attention to the monitoring of the Guiding Principles in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) through General Comment No.10 it is also guided by the rights of the child in juvenile justice, United Nations Standard Minimum Rules for the Administration of Juvenile Justice The Beijing Rules Adopted by General Assembly resolution 40/33 of 29 November 1985

MEDICAL HEALTH UNIT :
Sexual and reproductive health and the associated rights (SRHR issues) extend to the equal opportunities, rights and conditions of all people to have a safe and satisfying sexual life, and to be able to decide over their own bodies without coercion, violence or discrimination.
This Unit looks at the following aspects of SRHR.

WATER,SANITATION & HYGINENE UNIT :
DCI Zimbabwe works with communities and families around the country in promoting their rights ,leaving water rights out would have not served our purpose, the right of children and women to safe and clean water is key in achieving our mission ,by providing training on the availability and access to quality water and sanitation services we support the coutry to achieve the UN set SDG bencmarks with special focus on the districts with low rainfall levels.
Urban water services has deteriorated in the past years as the country goes through the most challenging socio-political political phase in history as well as the successive draughts being caused by changes in weather patterns , as a result, the country recently suffered one of the worst cholera outbreaks recorded in sub-Saharan Africa. In addition, diarrhea has become much more prevalent than before and is now one of the five main childhood killers in Zimbabwe.........read more here.
