OBJECTIVES :
· To contribute effort towards the achievement of the Global Goals on Sustainable Development (SDGs)
· To promote an understanding of the constitution of Zimbabwe to children, youths and women
· To research, train, document and disseminate information on children, youths and women's human rights.
· To collectively advocate for the implementation of the rights and responsibilities of the child in Zimbabwe.

DCI Zimbabwe is a member of the , the New Hope Foundation an International NGO based in South Africa,the Zimbabwe National Association of Non Governmental Organisation (NANGO), Zimbabwe National Council for the Welfare of Children (ZNCWC) the OP3 CRC and the Child Rights Education for Professionals (CRED-PRO). DCI Zimbabwe works with local and international partners to provide a holistic approach to child rights advocacy and education as means of preventing violence against children in Zimbabwe.

DCI-Zimbabwe was established in 2004, to promote a culture of constitutionalism in children, youths and women, by providing knowledge on their human rights enshrined in the constitution of Zimbabwe,through carrying out advocacy and education actions as core elements of its approach.
Human Rights are a key element in promoting democracy in a nation, but has to start from the bottom end if one has to register impact, DCI Zimbabwe believes that Human Rights awareness starts from when an individual has knowledge about their country's constitution and what it stands for and are able to use it to safe guard their rights, having knowledge on the constitution is key to citizens to enable them to participate in the governance of their country.
For a country to have law abiding citizens one has to start by instilling confiidence and values in in its future Global citizens, children and youths in their early ages through giving them knowledge about their country's laws and involving them in the democratic Governance processes of their nation.
DCI Zimbabwe's actions are to compliment the Government of Zimbabwe's efforts and are guided by the following national ,regional and international conventions :

DCI Zimbabwe's strategies are implimentated through 5 core actions
1. Research :

Researching of successful strategies and methods and advocacy in adverse circumstances affecting children and women·

2. Advocacy training,focus group discussions and Conferences:

Advocating around particular issues of concern for human rights with special focus on children and women’s human rights
​
3. Collaboration:

Collaborating with various groups, NGOs, lawyers, journalists, parliamentarians, doctors, and others on children and women's safety·

4. Carricular Development:
​
Developing curriculum to strengthen the advocacy strategies on the understanding ,alignment and implementation of the constitution of Zimbabwe ·

5. Information gathering ,documentation and dissemination

We believe that Information is key to getting solutions to any challange, therefore enalysing gathered information adds meaning, it is then blended and evaluated. This process helps in Knowledge gathering, then the information is related back to the source and policy makers for a concrete situation in order to establish explanations and lessons learnt and decisions.
